Outdoor and Online Class Info

Outdoor classes in our Courtyard Classroom will be small to help maintain social distancing. They will be between 4 and 6 families, or 14 people.

Families enrolled in our in-person Outdoor classes MUST sign a Health History Review and a COVID-19 Waiver before attending their first class.

Each registered family receives:

  • One Outdoor 45-minute class per week for 9-weeks OR one interactive 30-minute Online class via Zoom
  • Professionally recorded CD,  digital access to the semester's music on the Hello Everybody app, & a beautifully illustrated songbook
  • Access to our private Facebook Group, Riverside Music Together Friends & Family, where resources, craft ideas, and bonus song videos are shared multiple times a week.
  • Access to our NEW RMT Family Portal, including educational videos, activity & coloring sheets, and more.
  • A variety of digital educational resources from Music Together® Worldwide

Tuition for Outdoor and Online classes is $170 for a family with one child. There is no sibling fee for online classes. Mobile siblings in Outdoor classes have a $90 fee. Families who also enroll in a Rhythm Kids class receive a $70 discount.

We offer a payment plan of 2 or 3 installments, and we have a scholarship program, as well. It's a challenging time for everyone right now, so please don't let finances keep you from joining our community.

Other helpful information about our in-person, Outdoor classes:

  • Wash hands (yours AND your child’s) before class in the downstairs bathroom of the main hallway of the church, or use hand sanitizer, either yours or ours. We will always have hand sanitizer available in the courtyard for your use.

  • Use hand sanitizer (yours or ours) for you AND your child as you exit the courtyard gate after class.

  • Remain a minimum of 6-feet between the teacher AND any other family unit during class time. We understand this can be challenging for toddlers. Please do your best to keep them as close to family as possible. Fully engage in the music-making, and it will help them stay connected to you.

  • At this time, wearing a mask during class is not required but is encouraged. This is subject to change, however. Wear one during class if you would like. And, please wear one before or after class if you are in close proximity as you visit with others.

  • In the event of inclement weather, we will move the class to online Zoom for that day. We will contact you at least an hour prior to the start of class. Bring clothing layers with you to class since we know Kansas weather changes quickly!

  • All make-up classes will be held on Zoom.

  • We will use some of RMT’s instruments and props during class. (i.e. We will NOT be sharing any instruments—dumping eggs or play-along instruments—between families during class.) The teacher will use hand sanitizer before distributing instruments/props. Some instruments we will ask you to bring from home, such as scarves, eggs, and sticks, to use for your family only. Eggs, sticks, and scarves will be available for purchase from RMT.

  • All RMT instruments used in class will be sanitized with Benefect (http://benefect.com/us/) between classes.

  • Be aware that your choices affect others in the class. Please wear a mask in public places during the week.

  • Please bring the following to class with you each week:

    • Blanket for your family to sit on during class

    • Sun hat & water bottle for you and your child

  • If you feel sick in any way, please stay home. You can schedule Zoom makeups for any missed classes.

  • At this time, we are only able to accept demos in our in-person, Outdoor classes if the class is not yet full. Feel free to, also, schedule a demo in one of our Online Zoom classes.

*Please note: Makeup classes for our Outdoor classes will be done via Zoom.
